When is a good time to get started at Moro Performance or CrossFit Celer Silens Mortalis?

Today! It’s always a great day to Be Uncommon! New members start all of the time.

Our Foundations program for CrossFit is scheduled at your convenience, so schedule your first session, and after you complete all 6 with a coach’s approval, you’ll be good to go for regular CrossFit classes!

Does Moro Performance offer anything other than CrossFit?

Yes, check out Programs.

We offer personal training, group and team training, Foundations (intro to CrossFit), and nutritional coaching.

When can I drop in at Moro Performance?

We love visitors! However, we ask that anyone who wishes to drop in for a workout comes to one of our classes, as our open gym time is reserved for members. We think you’ll get the best feel for our gym culture coming to a class!

I heard CrossFit gets you hurt, is this true?

Bad coaches get you hurt. Just like anything else you will do today, there is a risk of injury. When done correctly and with a respectable, educated coach (like our coaches!), that risk decreases drastically. It is our goal to keep you safe and injury free!

Is Moro Performance / CrossFit Celer Silens Mortalis only for competitive CrossFitters and athletes?

In fact, our emphasis is on fitness for the everyday individual.

If you are a normal CrossFitter (or human) who has chosen Moro Performance as your gym, there is absolutely nothing you need to do differently than the person next to you in class. Just be prepared to work hard and see big improvements!

Do I need to be in shape to do CrossFit or other programs at your gym?

Anyone and everyone can benefit from our programming. Many of our new members are beginners to weight lifting or have had an extended period of time off from exercise. We welcome ANY age or fitness level into our gym to join our community.

Every workout we write can be scaled appropriately for any fitness level. We have plenty of members who come to our gym looking to be healthy, not the fittest person in town.

When do I rest?

On days when there’s no workout programmed.

Also, when you’re too tired to work out is another correct answer. 🙂

How often do I need to come to see results?

If we’re going to be realistic, you should be ready to commit at a minimum of 3 days per week, up to 5/6 days per week. This may seem like a lot, but 3-6 hours out of a 168-hour week is minimal. How many hours per day do you spend watching TV, browsing the internet, or checking social media? Trade a few of these hours each week for exercise and watch your life change! We do understand some weeks are busier than others, but overall if you can be as consistent as possible, we guarantee your results!

How long will it take me to see results?

After a handful of classes, you will find you will be able to perform certain exercises with more ease than when you first began, as your body quickly adapts to new movement patterns.

Aesthetically, you will begin to see small changes in yourself in 4 weeks. In 8 weeks, people who are close to you will notice changes, and in 12 weeks, the general population will notice a difference. This is our general rule of thumb, as long as you stay consistent and try your best.

What does Celer Silens Mortalis mean?

Great question! It’s the Marine Recon motto in Latin: Swift, Silent, Deadly and is used mainly at 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion in Okinawa, Japan.

What does Be Uncommon mean?

Be Uncommon comes form a quote by Admiral Nimitz following the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. “Uncommon valor was a common virtue” was how he described the Marines hard-fought victory.

I’ve been doing the Moro Performance program and I haven’t seen any improvements. What am I doing wrong?

Let us help you figure it out! Book a 1-on-1 session or consultation with one of our coaches to find out why!
